Furnace Creek Visitor Center features small museum and small bookstore.  You can speak to rangers, pay park fees, or buy a yearly national park pass.  Some exhibits include short films about Death Valley.  There is a large 3D display map showing where all the popular sites and attractions are located.  You can verify weather conditions and closures.  Clean restroom access.  Wonderful air conditioning.

There are several campgrounds located in Furnace Creek, close to the visitor center.  Furnace Creek holds the record for the hottest recorded temperature on the earth at 134 f.  There is one gas station.  The closest restaurant is The Last Kind Words Saloon & Steakhouse with fine reviews.  Badwater Saloon and TollRoad Restaurant are in Stovepipe Wells.  Also, a few miles south from Furnace Creek is The Oasis at Death Valley

The Oasis and The Inn at Death Valley and Ranch at Death Valley are two unique hotels.  Including The Inn Dining Room, Pool Cafe, Ice cream Parlor, and The Ranch Restaurant.

The Furnace Creek Golf Course is the World’s lowest elevation golf course at 214 feet below sea level. It is rated “America’s 50 toughest courses” by Golf Digest.
